Reviving songwriting passions
Alliance Worship Music
Alliance Worship Music
Early Alliance people were known for singing their theology.
C&MA founder, A. B. Simpson, wrote 172 hymns and penned 101 books as well as countless periodicals, booklets, articles, and curriculum during his lifetime. The Fourfold Gospel theme was woven throughout his lyrics. He often composed songs that tied to his sermons and made sure there was “intense feeling and deep personal commitment present in all his songs.”
Our Songwriting Vision
In The Alliance today, we want to revive our passion for singing that very same theology. Out of this, Alliance Worship was launched to exalt/celebrate Jesus through the creative arts.
The vision of Alliance Worship is to revive the songwriting passions that the Spirit is stirring in our midst and give opportunity to a diverse group of songwriters and worship leaders to contribute to the liturgy and practice of our local Alliance churches. It’s not just music, but an act of worship. We hope that what has begun with song will also lead to the celebration of arts of many kinds in our Alliance family.
